Since its founding, CALINFRA has grown rapidly into a dynamic coalition representing public, private, and labor stakeholders across California. In just a few years, we have established ourselves as a leading voice for advancing collaborative delivery methods. Our accomplishments demonstrate both the strength of our partnerships and the tangible progress we have made in shaping policy, strengthening practice, and providing education across the infrastructure delivery landscape.
Provided education and input to legislators and agency stakeholders, influencing key state reports and legislation that expanded alternative delivery authority.
Completed the first Alternative Delivery Authority Gap Analysis, guiding strategy for achieving broad and uniform APD authority.
Designed and delivered foundational training programs for agencies such as SANDAG, Port of Long Beach, LA Metro and the City of Los Angeles.
Developed the popular CA alternative delivery resource: Bridging the Gap white paper.
Established multiple Caltrans-CALINFRA workgroups to improve design-build, CM/GC, and progressive design-build practices.
Initiated work on quantifying the value of APD for Caltrans and began development of best practices for XBE participation in APD.
Formed sector-specific workgroups in Social Infrastructure and Water, with plans for Energy, Broadband, and Sustainability.
Organized annual CALINFRA Connect legislative days, including strategic meetings with lawmakers and agency leaders.
Partnered with BuildOUT California and other strategic allies to support equity, inclusivity, and APD innovation.
Educated policymakers on the value of CM/GC, progressive design-build, and P3 models to deliver more with limited resources.
